International Industrial Exhibitions'2007. Press release. Final results

Press-conference, dedicated to the opening of the First Russian National industrial forum with international participation “Industrial technologies for Russia”.

International industrial exhibition MASHEX started working within the framework of the forum Industrial technologies for Russia on May 29, 2007.This year it is a real unprecedented event for Russia. Two exhibition companies MVK and Crocus Expo joined their efforts in order to created analogue of Hanover industrial fair. All this resulted in the large-scale forum that started working today.

At the press-conference dedicated to the opening of the forum there held speeches Andrey Lapshin, President of Joint Stock Company “international Exhibition Company” and Alexander Bortsov, the first Deputy of Director General of CJSC Crocus International. In auditorium there assembled journalists, exhibitors, who had been participating in industrial exhibitions for many years already and companies, presented for the first time this year.

Alexander Bortsov told about exhibitions organized by Crocus International and stated “Despite that the forum is held for the first time this tear, we can be proud, as it has united 14 specialized exhibitions, demonstrating all fields of industry”.

In his turn Andrey Lapshin started his speech with a brief historical reference; he told that industrial exhibition Mashex had been held for 19 years already since 1989. It had considerably expanded during these years. That year it included 15 specialized exhibitions, displaying the best achievements of Russian and foreign companies. More than 500 companies from 23 countries took part in these exhibitions. Participants exhibited more than 950 trade marks in total

For convenience of attendees and participants the business program of the forum was divided by subject days – International day, within the framework of which foreign associations held a number of seminars, dedicated to the latest world development ant technologies, Day of Science and Business.

President of MVK also drew attention of press-conference participants to the presence in the hall of the leading companies, among which there were Ryazan machine-tool plant, Ivanovo machine building plant, Savelovo machine building plant and many other enterprises. It was stated that machine-tool building and mechanical engineering are being developed in Russia in a rapid way; in particular, this could be visually proved by expositions of Russian machine-tool companies, taking part in the forum. One should note that Russian production is competitive enough and yields to no one foreign enterprise.

Mass media representatives were interested in efforts taken by Russian companies on the eve of country’s entering WtrO. Heads of companies said that the most part of their production entirely meets European standards. Journalists were also interested in joint expositions; main ideas of the forum from the point of view of its participants.

Summing up one can surely say that Mashex is a leading international exhibition in Russia, displaying up-to-date equipment and models of machine-tool building and metalworking fields. This year owing to successful partnership of Joint Stock Company “International Exhibition Company” with Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre Mashex exhibition, held within the framework of unique single project Industrial technologies for Russia, will become even larger and more significant for Russian machine building sector.
